Here is a bit about me:

Heather:

I’m really happy to be working at Shepton Infants and Nursery, having heard many great things about the school and its pupils.

I have taught in mainstream and SEN schools for the past 20 years, including ones in Wiltshire and Somerset, volunteered at local schools and been a parent governor. I also set up my own childminding business whilst my own children were younger. During my career, I have worked with children between the ages of 2 and 16.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and going on long walks with our dog. I try to be as creative as possible and sew when I have some spare time!

My usual days of work are Tuesdays and Thursdays and I’m always happy to meet for a chat and a cuppa!

All parents know that being a Mum or Dad is the hardest job in the world! Sometimes we could all do with a little help – and the Parent & Family Support Advisor is here to help you! We offer a completely free, confidential service, for families attending Shepton Mallet Community Infants School & Nursery. You can get help from our Parent & Family Support Advisor by speaking to your class teacher, asking at reception or by emailing PFSA@sheptoninfants.co.uk
