NSPCC Hero & Heroines Non Uniform day
Friday 20th October 2017
Following our NSPCC assembly last week we will be having a non-uniform day this Friday. We are asking for a donation for the NSPCC for your child to come to school as their favourite Hero/Heroine or to come dressed in normal clothes.
Once again this year the children will be designing their own Christmas cards.
If you would like to purchase your child’s Christmas card, please come to the hall from 3.00 pm onwards on Thursday 12th October 2017, where you will be able to view their design and complete an order form.
The cost for a first pack of 12 will be £5.50, each pack after that will be £4.50. You can also order gift labels of the design at £2.50 for a pack of 16. Please be aware we can only accept orders with full payment. Cheques should be made payable to: Shepton Mallet Community Infants’ School Fund.
Please note this will be the only opportunity for you to view and order these cards as we will be posting your orders on Monday 16th October 2017 to ensure we have them returned to us to use at Christmas.

Dear Mrs Honoria Thompson
Today, Friday, I called at your school to convey the heartfelt thanks of the local Salvation Army to all the staff and children for their kind donations of food .
Earlier this week, Debbie Dance, from Shepton Mallet Infants' School & Nursery, kindly delivered the many food items to us.
At our local Salvation Army Church, every Monday many food parcels are made up, some enough to feed a family for a week,
And many more food parcels are distributed throughout the week locally to other persons who are in great need of them.
So we are really grateful for your generosity and valuable contributions.
Thank you again
Angela Emblin (Soldier at the Shepton Mallet Corps)
PP Corps Officer Captain Ann Chidgey
