Natures Photo Frame
Step 1
Find natural items to make the outline of the frame. This could be sticks, flower stems, lots of small stones or anything else you find. Arranage your items into the shape your wish your frame to be.
Step 2
Go on a nature treasure hunt around your garden or local area and collect. Ask your child to collect lots of different natural items – focus on different colours, shapes, sizes and textures.
Step 3
Using your collected items, create a picture inside your photo frame. This could be a portrait of themselves or something that makes them happy or a their favourite animal – be creative!
Step 4
Take a photo of your creation and send to your child’s class teacher via Class Dojo.
Magic Potion
You will need:
Cup or container to hold the ‘potion’
Bottle of ‘magic’ water (you could add glitter to the water)
Step 1
Set the scene. Read a story about a witch (Winnie the witch, Room on a broom) or make up one of your own, focus on the witches magic potion.
Step 2
Give your child their cup/container and ask them to fill it with lots of small items they find in their garden or local area. Ecnourage them to find a variety of colours and smells.
Step 3
Once they are happy with their collection, pour in the ‘magic water’. Ask them to find a stick to mix and mash their potion with while saying their chosen magic words.
Step 4
Discuss with your child what their potion does! Think of a name for their potion.
Step 5
Send a photo your child making their photo to their class teacher via Class Dojo.
Miniature Playground
Step 1
Find a piece of string about 1m long. Place the string on the group in a loop to make outline for your miniature playground.
Step 2
Find natural objects to create different play equipment in your fairy park. You could use a round stone for a round-about with blades of grass for the rails, or use a piece of bark balanced over a stone for a seesaw. Let your creativity and imagination go wild.
Step 3
Once your miniature playground is complete you can play in it with small toy figures.
Step 4
Take a photo of your creation and send to your child’s class teacher via Class Dojo.
