English as an Additional Language Learners

At Shepton Mallet Community Infants’ School and Nursery, supporting all families is our priority. For families who have English as an additional language, it is even more important to make sure communication and support is effective, especially in these unprecedented times. Remote learning can be challenging for everyone and having English as an additional language can present extra challenges. We are proud and very lucky to have bilingual members of staff who are able to help with translating for a number of languages. We also have access to county run translation services where necessary.
