You will find below a document of our most recent Ofsted report, following the inspection on 12thand 13thNovember 2013.
Ofsted inspections have become much more rigorous in recent times, and to have a grade of ‘good’ in all areas with some teaching rated ‘outstanding’, is no mean achievement. It is a testament to the hard work of everybody in our school community.
However, we are not resting on our laurels. There is still work to do, and we would very much like to be ‘outstanding’ at our next inspection.
This is where you can help. You will notice that one of the two tasks we have been given is to raise our attendance levels. We do have poor attendance in this school at the moment, and we are actually in the bottom 20% of all schools for the percentage of children who come to school regularly. I appreciate that children become ill, and infant children do tend to be more susceptible to coughs and colds. However, it is important that you get your child to school as often as you can. Please don’t book holidays during term time, your child needs to be in school as it is very difficult to catch up on missed work!
By making sure your child is in school every day you can help get us to outstanding!
I hope you will take the time to read the report, and thank you as always for the support that you give to the school.
